George Hummel is an award winning homebrewer, writer, and the co-owner of Philly’s Home Sweet Homebrew, helping homebrewers turn into the region’s pro brewers for over 26 years. Most notably he cooperated with the Nodding Head Brewery & Restaurant on George’s Fault and George’s Phunk, winners of several Great American Beer Festival® medals. He has recently brewed collaborative brews with many of the region’s craft breweries. George and his wife Nancy Rigberg received the Inspiration Award from the Governor of Pennsylvania and were inducted into the Keystone Society of Tourism in 2008 for inspiring the state’s craft brewing industry.
