QUAFF: Quality Ale and Fermentation Fraternity

Chris Banker is an electrical engineer and an avid homebrewer and cheesemaker. Hailing from the East Coast, he now resides in San Diego, where he is an officer in QUAFF and the Society of Barley Engineers. In 2011, he founded Queso Diego—The San Diego Cheese Club, of which he is the president. When he isn’t making beer, cider, mead, wine and cheese, Chris works as an engineer in the field of satellite communication systems. He is considered a local expert on electric brewing and ciders. Chris has won numerous awards for his beers and ciders in homebrew competitions, including a recent Best of Show at the America’s Finest City homebrew competition.
