Wrecking Bar Brewpub
Bob Sandage began homebrewing in Minneapolis in 1992. After earning several homebrew competition awards and selling his engineering company in 2009, he purchased a historic mansion and transformed it into the Wrecking Bar Brewpub. The brewpub features 10-15 beers on tap at all times, ranging from session beers to high-gravity, barrel-aged and sour beers. Wrecking Bar has been voted Best Brewpub in Atlanta by Creative Loafing magazine each year since opening, and is one of only 13 brewpubs in the U.S. rated “world class” by both Beer Advocate and RateBeer.com. Bob is in the planning stages for a production brewery in a suburb of Atlanta. When Doctor Bob, as he is called, is not involved in beer-related activities, he enjoys spending time with his 9-year-old and 11-year-old sons, hiking, biking, running or doing pretty much anything outdoors.
