The Homebrewer SD
George began homebrewing in 2002 and has always been inspired by brewing cultures and traditions from around the world. He worked in a homebrew store while writing his master’s thesis, and found that he had a passion for the work. In 2012 he and his wife, a fellow Cicerone, opened The Homebrewer: Resource Center in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. They began work on Home Brewing Co. in 2013, and brewed their first batches in 2014. Home Brewing Co. emphasizes the same passion for community outreach and education that helped The Homebrewer find its early success. George is BJCP and Cicerone certified, and is an instructor with San Diego State University Business of Beer Program.
