Dave Engbers is a co-founder of Founders Brewing Company and the company’s vice president and director of brand and education. Founders is one of the fastest-growing craft breweries in the nation, has received numerous World Beer Cup® and Great American Beer Festival® awards, and its beers are often rated among the best in the world by RateBeer and BeerAdvocate users. Dave was born and raised in Grand Rapids, and attended Hope College where he met fellow Founders co-founder Mike Stevens. The pair spent their college years dreaming of opening a brewery, a vision they finally realized a few years later when they wrote a business plan, secured funding and opened Founders’ doors in 1997.
