Brian Joas started homebrewing in 1997. His brewing knowledge significantly increased as a result of two decisions: to join the Beer Barons of Milwaukee and become a BJCP judge. He is now a Grand Master Judge and Associate Exam Director of the BJCP, as well as a co-leader of an annual BJCP study session.
