Labeling Beer

All beer dropped off to AHA Beer Services must be properly labeled before entering the cellar. Labels are generated using one of the 2012 AHA Beer Services Labels spreadsheets and must be printed and attached before dropping off your beer.

Beer labels identify you, your mobile phone number, your homebrew club or seminar, and your beer. Most importantly, the label identifies where and when your beer is delivered.

2. Select the proper label file above based on where you are serving your beer.

3. Choose your club or seminar at the top-most drop-down.
Clubs are listed in alpha-order. Seminars are listed in alpha-order by speaker last name.

4. Choose where you will serve this beer.
This only applies to Club Night & Hospitality Suites labels.

  • If a beer is only going to Hospitality, use the Hospitality drop-down.
  • If a beer is going to Club Night & Hospitality, use the Club Night & Hospitality drop-down. Beer Services will deliver it to both events.

3. Type in your name, mobile phone and beer info.

4. Print your label.

5. Cut your label down as much as possible. Then, sandwich it between clear packing tape and attach it to the keg handle or case box.
See the photo on this page.

7. Repeat as needed. Each beer must have it’s own label.

Returns to the Beer Cellar

Once beer leaves the cellar and it becomes the responsibility of the owner. Beer may only return to the cellar for two reasons.

1. The beer was used for a Hospitality Suite and is needed for the upcoming Club Night.

2. The beer was used at Club Night and is needed for an upcoming Hospitality Suite shift.

Any beer left in the cellar after 2 am, Sunday, June 24, becomes the property of the American Homebrewers Association unless arrangements are made with the AHA Beer Services staff.
