Gisela Claassen, Ph.D. is a scientist and owner of Curds and Wine in San Diego. She is an award-winning winemaker and cheesemaker, making wine since 2007 and cheese since 2010. She has made more than 30 different kinds of cheeses and currently has a cellar of over 1,400 homemade wines. Curds and Wine opened in November 2010 and has inspired many new home winemakers and cheesemakers.
