Labeling Beer

Stay tuned for 2015 conference information!

The system to order your tags has now closed. Thank you to all of you that filled out the form and submitted an order for your labels.

LABELING YOUR BEERS

For those that received the GrogTags for your kegs, please wrap the label around the handle of your keg. Do not stick them on the side of your keg. If placing them on case boxes, please put them on one side of each case.

UNLABELED BEERS

If for some reason you have not filled out the system by Saturday, May 24, you will need to get blank labels onsite at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids. If your kegs do not come pre-labeled, this will delay dropping off beers at the conference.

  • No unlabeled kegs can go directly to the dock. Any homebrew delivery not appropriately labeled will be asked to come back once the appropriate tags are on your beer!
  • You must go to the conference registration counter to receive your labels, fill them out, tape over them so they don’t smear, and then finally take your kegs back to the dock.
  • In other words, please go ahead and fill out the form ahead of time.

RETURNING BEER TO THE CELLAR

Once beer leaves the cellar, it becomes the responsibility of the owner and cannot be stored back in the cellar. Beer may only return to the cellar for one of two reasons.

1. The beer was used for Thursday or Friday Beer City Social Club and is needed for the Club Night as well.
2. The beer was used at Club Night and is needed for a Saturday Beer City Social Club shift.

Any beer left in the cellar after 12:00 am on Sunday, June 15, 2013 becomes the property of the American Homebrewers Association unless arrangements are made with the AHA Beer Services staff.

If you are bringing beer for the 2014 National Homebrewers Conference, you need to ensure your beer is well labeled so the beer service team can cellar the beer and make deliver it to the proper location.
